Westfield High School will host its annual AP/ACP Meet the Teacher Night on Wednesday, April 26th at 6:30 PM. The purpose of the evening is for students and families to learn more about the Advanced Placement (AP) and Advance College Project (ACP) courses that students will be taking in the 2017-2018 school year.
In order to see if you have requested an AP or ACP class for next year, log into your Power School account, and click on the Class Registration link. See link below for a visual on how to view your Course Requests in PowerSchool. Actual schedules with your specific AP/ACP courses listed will be distributed on April 24th, prior to this event.
Teachers will present on the course expectations, and may distribute the course syllabus and summer work (if applicable.) In order to accommodate students who are planning to take more than one AP/ACP course next year, three identical 20-minute long sessions will be presented. The evening will run as follows:
Programs and maps will be distributed at the main entrance of the school. A copy of the program will also be emailed home after Spring Break, so that you may plan out your evening.
Note: if you have only one or two AP/ACP classes in the 2017-2018 schedule, you may arrive later to attend Session 2 or 3. You do not have to be here for Session 1, if that works best in your evening plans. This may also help alleviate crowded classrooms in Session 1.
If you have AP or ACP classes in your course requests for the 2017-2018 school year, please plan to attend this event. The information that will be distributed is of utmost importance to your success in AP and ACP classes. If a student cannot attend due to prior obligations, we strongly encourage parents to attend without their student.
Please contact your counselor with any questions that you may have regarding this event. We look forward to seeing you on April 26th!
